Louis Mailly Snuff Box

Louis Mailly Snuff Box
A circular gold and enameled snuff box made by Louis Mailly in Paris between 1720 and 1726. The enamel painting after Watteau on the lid is probably by Jean-Baptiste Masse who owned the original painting by Watteau called La Finette, at this time. Inside the lid of this little 2.5 inch diameter box is an enamel painting after Lancret.
